CAA and THAC to co-host webinar on 14 July 2022

PostDate:2022/6/28

Many countries are leaving behind the pandemic and are starting to rebuild the economy that has been affected by two years of restrictions and slowdowns. According to the QMUL 2021 International Arbitration Survey, international arbitration is still the preferred method of resolving cross-border disputes, either on a stand-alone basis or in conjunction with ADR. ‘Administrative/logistical support for virtual hearings’ and ‘commitment to a more diverse pool of arbitrators’ are among the reasons top that would make other sets of arbitration rules or arbitral institutions more attractive.

What role can be played by arbitration as a means to rebuild and facilitate commerce? What else arbitral institutions can propose to business owners to incentivize expanding their business overseas? This session aims to discuss the role of arbitral institutions in supporting the development of commerce after the pandemic.

Topic: Rebuilding the commerce: can arbitral institutions play an important role?
Date: Thursday, July 14, 2022
