CAA announces Case Management Conference (CMC) Guidelines for Arbitrators and Parties. One of the advanatges of arbitration over court litigation is the ability of arbitral tribunals to tailor the procedure of each case. Such preliminary meeting between the tribunal and the parties to discuss and establish Terms of Reference and Procedural Timetable for the arbitration enhances procedural efficiency, clarity and predictability of the case. The flexibility involved in the process also enables parties to make use of their autonomy.
